Heartburn Hero consists of lead composer and performer Matija Krunic and co-producer, performer, Jay Crafton. together, They craft entire worlds within the confines of a rock song. These melodic maximalists compose intricate musical textures, where each track serves as both an intimate confession and a symphonic adventure.

The band invites listeners into a realm of robots, 50s futurism, love, loss, and love again, and into a place where emotions run deep and melodies flow freely.

Between 2020-2024 the pair honed and completed 5 albums of Matija's original and highly varied music.

Matija Krunic

In the realm between rock and classical, Matija Krunic finds his home. This lead songwriter, composer and multi-instrumentalist with an ear for the epic, both self taught and classically trained in composition in his 30s, weaves intricate musical tapestries from even the simplest of inspirations. His compositions -- intimate at times and grandiose at others -- speak to the heart of the human experience.

Jay Crafton

Jay Crafton is the Swiss Army Knife of the band. the master of both broad strokes and fine details. A Co-producer, recording engineer, and multi-instrumental wizard, he weaves his magic on any instrument he touches: voice, guitar, bass, drums/percussion and keys. Jay's ability to zoom in on the tiniest nuance while never losing sight of the big picture makes him an indispensable architect of the band's richly layered tunes.
